Four years-I

I came to Hong Kong to live with my English husband on 2nd August in 2003, just 2 days before our wedding.
We were going to invite our families and friends from Japan and England, but We couldn't have our wedding reception party.
The SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) had spread in Hong Kong and China, which was officially dated from November 2002 and July 2003 (with 8,096 known cases of the disease, and 774 deaths reported by the WHO).
We decided to get married in the late 2002 in Japan and my husband left Japan to Hong Kong to start his new job in January 2003. He got involved into SARS panic in Hong Kong.

He was an English teacher in a local primary school but two weeks after he started the school and almost of all schools in Hong Kong were closed by SARS. He got a long holidays for about 2 months.

in June 2003, we had to decide to have our wedding party or cancel it even though the SARS were no longer spreading.

We considered our possible guests' safe and we decided not to invite them.

On 4th August, we had our wedding ceremony at a church with my husband's colleagues and a couple of his friends.

The 4th wedding anniversary is coming soon...
